Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to provide students with information on children with special needs, the causes, symptoms and treatment methods of disability types that cause special needs, and the application of the inclusion method, which has an important place in the education of special children. |

Course Contents | ||
This course covers the history of special education in the world and in our country, the purpose of special education and what concepts it contains, how to evaluate and identify individuals with special needs and where they can be directed, the history of the inclusion method and its benefits for both the disabled individual and their families and the healthy children they will be educated together, from the types of obstacles; intellectual disability, special learning disability, language and speech disorder, autism, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, hearing impairment, visual impairment, physical disabilities, giftedness, how the classroom management will be in inclusive practices, what individualized education programs are, how they are prepared and how they will be used. and what the sensitivities of the families of children with special needs are, such as their moods, concerns, and expectations, and how they can be helped. | ||
