Course Contents |
Basic subjects and problem areas of philosophy; philosophy of existence, knowledge, morals/values and education; basic philosophical movements (idealism, realism, naturalism, empiricism, rationalism, pragmatism, existentialism, analytical philosophy) and education; educational philosophy and educational movements: Perennialism, essentialism, progressivism, existential education, critical/radical education; Educational views of some philosophers in the Islamic world and in the West; human nature, individual differences and education; education in terms of some political and economic ideologies; The currents of thought and education that are effective in the modernization process in Turkey; Philosophical foundations of Turkish education system. |
