Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to introduce the concepts of Western and Western Literature, and to enable students to read the basic texts of Western Literature from Ancient Greece to Cervantes. Thus, it is aimed to gain a perspective on how the literary themes and structures of Western Literature have emerged from the past to the present.

Course Contents
In this course, selected texts by Homer, Sophocles, Shakespeare, Corneille, Moliere and Cervantes will be read, introduced and examined.
