Objectives of the Course
The main purpose of this course; It is to deal with the plastic works containing religious iconography that we encounter in the sculpture art of the Hellenistic Period in detail. For this purpose, the works of the relevant period will be examined and thus the relationship between religion and plastic arts in the Hellenistic Period will be tried to be understood.

PO-8 To be able to distinguish and analyze the period, style and chronology problems of archaeological data and material.
PO-14 Being aware of the necessity of following the current developments in the field, they can acquire the habit of browsing Turkish and foreign languages ​​(library and informatics), using them and learning lifelong.

Course Contents
Within the scope of this course work titled Religious Iconography in Hellenistic Sculpture Art, primarily plastic works related to the religious life of the period will be examined. Then, the messages that these works tried to give in the social life of the Hellenistic Period will be emphasized, taking into account the details of these works, such as their location, location and importance.
