Objectives of the Course |
The aim of this course is to gain the skill of reading material works related to Alevi-Bektashism and using the Ottoman Alphabet in their writing. In order to be able to read, understand and write the manuscripts, to give basic information such as the Arabic alphabet used in Ottoman Turkish, the way letters are written and combined, grammar and spelling rules, the spelling of suffixes and word roots, and to be able to read the primary sources of the Alevi-Bektashi belief system from the original in line with this information. |

Course Contents |
In order to understand the foundation and culture of a belief system, it is necessary to be able to read and understand the works written within the framework of that belief. The way to read these works is to take into account the language and writing styles of the period and make studies. In this context, this course covers studies to read, analyze and understand the manuscripts of the Alevi-Bektashi belief system. |
