Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge and skills about cell cycle, regulation of cell cycle and mutations and diseases caused by deviations from these regulations.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the basic concepts of cell cycle. PO-1 Have information about current issues in molecular biology and genetics.
PO-2 Obtain basic knowledge of Molecular Biology
PO-3 Make use of the knowledge they have in order to find a solution to problems by analyzing, comparing and questioning them and can carry out original research in the related field on their own
PO-4 Evaluate the knowledge and skills in a critical way in every activity regarding the field, thereby guiding their learning

The cell cycle and its historical development, the genes controlling the cycle, the genetic control and control system of the cell cycle in eukaryotes, the enzymes, proteins and hormones involved in the cell cycle, mitosis promoting factor-mpf, anaphase promoting factor-apc complex, spindle attachment checkpoint, DNA damage control points, cytoplasm division and its control by genes, escape from cell division control, cell death mechanism pathways and cancer
