Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge and skills on the basic concepts of the structure and composition of chromosomes, preparation of chromosome preparation, chromosome staining, banding, karyotype analysis and evaluation of the obtained data.

General concepts about chromosomes and chromosome structure, cell divisions, numerical anomalies in chromosomes, haploplody and polyploidy, somatic chromosome number variations and chimeras, structural anomalies in chromosomes, sex chromosomes and special chromosome types, chromosome preparation preparation, chromosome staining techniques, classification and naming of chromosome bands, Giving information about C, G, R, T, Q and NOR bands and FISH method, karyotype analysis and evaluation.
