Objectives of the Course
In this course, we aim to document biological diversity on earth, investigate the effects of humans on species, genetic diversity and ecosystems, prevent species extinction, develop practical approaches to preserve the genetic diversity of species, and protect and repair living units and the ecosystem functions they are linked to.

Course Contents
Within the scope of this course; Topics are discussed: what is conservation biology, what is biodiversity, the ecological importance of biodiversity, moral values, threats to biodiversity, protection at the population and species level, conservation and humans, important ecosystems in our country and in the world and the sustainability of these areas, the existence of protected areas and monitoring studies of sample areas is taken.
