Objectives of the Course
Energy Resources, Principles of Hydroelectric Energy, types, design stages and sections of hydroelectric power plants are learned and basic information about the conversion of hydraulic power into electrical power is learned.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the types and structures of Hydraulic Electric power plants. PO-1 To be able to reach the theoretical and practical knowledge by doing scientific research in the field of Civil Engineering and to be able to use the obtained knowledge.

Course Contents
Production stages of hydroelectric energy and design of Hydroelectric Power Plants. Turkey's hydroelectric energy potential and comparison with other renewable energy production methods. General principles and related definitions in hydraulic energy production. Planning of hydraulic energy projects. Dams for hydroelectric energy, additional structures for energy production. Hydraulic turbines, types, additional structures.
