Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide knowledge and skills regarding the mechanical and rheological properties of concrete in fresh and hardened states.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can identify the cement paste phase PO-1 To be able to reach the theoretical and practical knowledge by doing scientific research in the field of Civil Engineering and to be able to use the obtained knowledge.

Course Contents
The content of this course; concrete components and constituent phases of concrete, pore structure of cement paste phase, gel formation, sensitivity of hardened concrete properties to the pore structure of cement paste, internal structure factors affecting concrete properties, fresh concrete properties, hardened concrete properties, hardened concrete properties, mechanical and deformation properties of concrete. Topics include time-dependent behavior of concrete: creep and shrinkage, fracture mechanics of concrete, fatigue behavior of concrete, environmental impact classes and permanence problems in concrete.
