Objectives of the Course
The aim of the Islamic History 2 course is to enable students to understand the historical developments after the early period of Islam, the formation and expansion of Islamic states, cultural, political and social changes. This course aims to understand the impact of Islamic civilization on world history by examining the establishment and collapse of the Umayyads, Abbasids, and other Islamic states, important events and personalities.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Islamic History II course, students will be able to explain the history and developments of the Islamic world starting from the Abbasid period. PO-3 Uses the resources in the History and arts of Islam field effectively based on undergraduate level qualifications.
Examination
LO-2 To learn important events, figures and concepts in the middle and late periods of Islamic history (post-Abbasid). PO-4 History and arts of Islam uses research methods and techniques applied in the field, has theoretical and practical knowledge.

LO-3 To learn scientific, artistic and cultural developments in the Islamic world in the middle and late periods. PO-14 History and arts of Islam to be able to collect, interpret, apply and announce data related to his/her field of study, to supervise and explain these values by considering scientific, cultural, artistic, social and ethical values.
