Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to equip students with knowledge and skills regarding the definition of futsal, the general characteristics of the futsal game, the historical development of futsal in the world and in Turkey, the rules of the futsal game, and the teaching of the basic techniques and tactics of futsal. |

LO-1 | Knows the rules of the Futsal game and how to use these rules in the game. |
PO-1 They have knowledge of concepts and principles related to Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports. PO-7 As a coach, they contribute to the development of sports infrastructure and acquire the necessary knowledge for training amateur, professional, and national athletes at national and international levels. PO-12 They use appropriate methods and techniques to develop athletes' critical thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving, and analysis-synthesis skills. PO-14 Based on their own knowledge, the coach assesses the overall condition of individuals in different age groups by identifying their sports discipline, health and lifestyle profile, deficiencies, body structure and function, and level of sports participation. Accordingly, they determine evaluation and application priorities and plan training programs, taking individual differences into account. PO-28 They possess a team-oriented approach in the sports assessment and training process. PO-29 They adopt an ethical and legal framework for the collection, recording, and reporting of necessary data in the evaluation and development of the training program. |

Course Contents | ||
This course provides a wide range of information from futsal game rules and field dimensions to techniques without the ball, passing, shooting, dribbling, defensive and offensive tactics. Students also learn the basic techniques and tactics of futsal through set piece organizations and various practice exercises. | ||
