Objectives of the Course | |||||
The student will be able to develop knowledge in the analysis of advanced harmonic structures; examine late tonality applications; identify chromatic harmony, modal expansion and non-chordal harmonic elements; evaluate the relationships between different harmonic approaches and use this knowledge in original harmonic writing applications. |

PO-1 Students who successfully complete the Master of Performing Arts program will be familiar with high-level concepts related to their program. PO-2 Are familiar with the formation and harmonization of scales, accompanying chords, cadences, secondary dominants, creating chords of triphonic and quadraphonic sounds, modal change chords and tension sounds. PO-3 Have a basic knowledge of measurement systems, musical signs, arrays and intervals and tonality etc.They are also familiar with the basic rules, techniques and terms of music, able to read musical notes and write what they hear in musical notes. |
