Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to gain basic life saving knowledge and skills to ensure that users swim in a safe environment in swimming pools and beaches. |

PO-1 They have knowledge of concepts and principles related to Sports Sciences, Coaching, Conditioning, and Performance Analysis in Sports. PO-5 They define the legal principles of the coach's duties, authorities, and responsibilities in accordance with the criteria and processes determined for the coaching education program. PO-10 They consider the opinions of colleagues from different sports disciplines regarding coaching practices. PO-27 As a coach, they contribute to the protection of athlete health. |

It includes the introduction of the life saving profession, different pool environments, rescue process, rescue materials, side scissors swimming technique, backstroke techniques, holding and carrying techniques, approaching the victim, carrying, removing from the water and basic first aid techniques and communication channels. | ||
