Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach the fundamental concept of rural development, study topics, main goals of rural development policies ant its applications, developments on rural development in all over the world, problem analyzing in rural development topics, discussion relationship between rural development and agricultural development, rural industry and development economics, develop a project oriented rural development applications and importance points.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can learn and apply the techniques of plant and animal production PO-16 Takes responsibility in carrying out a study in the field and solving unforeseen problems encountered in practice.

The concept of economic development, the scope of rural area and rural development concepts, the goals of rural development, the characteristics of rural area, the principal components of rural development, the principles of rural development, current situation in the rural area and its main characteristics, poverty and deprivation in rural area, rural development policies and applications, rural development projects, new trends in rural development area, approaches of rural development in Europe and Turkey, strategic targets oriented rural development, Strength and Weak points in terms of national rural development targets.
