Objectives of the Course
The main goal of this course is to teach the medicinal and aromatic plants and their agricultural and industrial proceedings

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Learns basic concepts on oilseeds crops and vegetable oils, knows fat and fatty acids analysis PO-16 Takes responsibility in carrying out a study in the field and solving unforeseen problems encountered in practice.

LO-2 Learns biosynthesis and biochemsitry of fats and fatty acids, comprehends relation between human healt and vegetable oils, and also importance of vegetable oils in public health PO-11 Solve problems related to sustainable agriculture and to manage sustainable agricultural policies.
PO-21 Sensitive to current events and developments and monitor these developments.

Botanical classification of medicinal and aromatic plants, the importance of secondry metabolites (alkaloids, terpenoids, phenolics), distillation and extraction methods, herbal drugs and uses in the traditional medicine, aromatherapy and phytotherapy, essential oils and parfumery, spices and spice plants, dye plants and dyeing, cultural managements and breeding methods of medicinal and aromatic plants
