Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide the basic economic awareness to engineering students.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Be able to assess a project as economic and financial criteria with several evaluation. PO-9 An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.

LO-2 Be able to know basic principles of project costing including reporting, planning and evaluation. Definition of economics, needs, goods and services, production, factors of production, supply-demand, price, business concept, business income and expenses, business functions (procurement, manufacturing, marketing, management, staff), evaluation of investment projects, as a quantitative decision-making techniques, par (not to the profit and loss) point analysis, economic models, gaussian distributions, inventory control, production.
