Objectives of the Course
To give the students the awareness about social change approaches, the dynamics of change in the present, how to perform research focusing on change and modernization theories,the modernity-postmodernity debates.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can explain social change, change approaches, the factors that influence change, modernization, globalization, such as the nature and orientation of present-day knowledge about the changes. PO-1 1. Can understand the basic concepts regarding the sociology programs.
PO-5 5. Can dedicate to improve themselves by keeping abreast of the developments in science, technology and modern topics.
PO-6 6. Can assess and evaluate the data making use of the advanced knowledge and skills that they have acquired in the field, to define and analyze the issues connected with current technological developments finding ways to offer solutions to those issues based on the researched and evidence.

PO-8 8. Can collaborate both intra- and interdisciplinarily by planning and managing the activities regarding the development of the members subordinate to them.

Course Contents
It includes the definition, subject, purpose and limits of sociology of change, some basic concepts related to sociology, perspectives on social change, change models, how to do research in the field of sociology of change, change, factors that influence, and this variation is related to the rapid changes of our times some of the social problems arising, modernization and up to date there are some approaches to social change.
