Teaching the basic concepts and techniques of statistics to students, to represent and to endear statistics to students. Introducing the necessary tools to implement statistical methods in field of tourism |

To present the results in a clear and understandable way, to be unique and autonomous in solving problems in complex and unpredictable situations and to decide himself/herself. Introduction to Statistics: Description, brief historical account and importance of statistics. Fundamental Content of Statistics. Subject of statistics and basic concepts: unit, population and variable; definition and kinds of variables, scaling of variables and determination of scales. Collecting the data and illustrating by tables and graphs. Measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion. The frequency distributions of mean, median, mode and variance. Questionnaire survey. Probability. Distributions. Sampling. Z and t statistics. Confidence intervals. Hypothesis tests. Correlation coefficient. Chi-square analysis | ||
