Objectives of the Course
The course aims to explore modern and contemporary Turkish Art from the 18.century Ottoman period until first decades of the Republic. Today's Turkish Art is explored with an investigation into political, social and economic factors that have shaped it.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Sudents will be able to interpret contemporary examples of Turkish Art. PO-4 Analyses the picture as a work of art and appreciates as progresses in art history in a way that iconographic and plastic character to it.
PO-5 Has information about philosophical and aesthetic theories about art.
PO-6 Examines contemporary art by tracing society and art which has changed by occuring modern idendity of art.
PO-10 Benefits from applications on aesthetics, art history, criticism, and museums.
PO-12 Discusses problems of art by conferences, seminars, exhibitions, art events and etc.
PO-14 Makes scientific studies in the field of painting and art.
PO-18 Co-operates disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields. Knows how to prepare portfolios.
