Objectives of the Course
Making students science literate. Improve the mental and hand ability. To be aware of the up to date practices and inclinations. Understanding the properties of elementary science curriculum. Understanding the relations among science-technology-society-environment. Make technology literacy.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can gain knowledge about science and technology literacy. PO-3 To satisfy the needs of students ability to recognise concepts and relationship between concepts related to the field.
PO-9 Class given in the framework of basic knowledge in the field of Teacher Education (Initial Teaching of Reading and Writing, Basic Math, Science Education, Environmental Education, Drama, Life Science Teaching, Traffic and First Aid, Teaching Practice, Guidance, Introduction to Philosophy, Sociology, Visual Arts Education and other field lessons), methods and subjects of the courses and methods evaluate features into information.
Examination
LO-2 can be aware of the up to date practices and inclinations in science teaching. PO-1 Being knowledgeable about teaching programs, teaching strategies, methods and techniques, and measurement and evaluation.

Science Education and basic concepts about science teaching. Science, technology, scientific knowledge and characteristics of scientific method, science and technology literacy; connection of science, technology, society and environment; attitude of science, goals of science education, historical development of science education in Turkey and the World. constructivism and science education, cognitive development and science education, scientific Development and science education, properties of science and technology curriculum and relationship of other disciplines, development cognitive process and sample applications.
