Objectives of the Course
Aim, method and content of the anthropology, human adventure and social organizations from the beginning of the humanity to present, the relation between anthropology and society.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 explain the importance of the anthropology. PO-1 Being knowledgeable about teaching programs, teaching strategies, methods and techniques, and measurement and evaluation.
PO-3 To satisfy the needs of students ability to recognise concepts and relationship between concepts related to the field.
PO-7 Ability to use information sources related to the field.
Examination
LO-2 explain basic concepts about anthropology. PO-1 Being knowledgeable about teaching programs, teaching strategies, methods and techniques, and measurement and evaluation.
PO-5 Being knowledgeable about students’ developmental and learning characteristics and also learning difficulties.
PO-8 Ability to use most appropriate teaching strategies, methods and techniques considering students’ developmental characteristics, individual differences, characteristics and achievements of the subject area.

Course Contents
Definition, content, field studies and method of the anthropology, relation between anthropology and daily life, beginning of the humanity, evolution of the living type of the humanity, kinship systems and social organization, emerging of the political organization, social categorization, social sex, religion, language, individual and culture, some anthropologists from Turkey and world, their field studies and examples from their studies.
