Objectives of the Course
To comprehend contribution of the west and east civilizations to history of humanity, to teach the importance of Turk-?slamic in middle age, democratic activities and social agitations in middle age, to teach the contribution of Turk-?slamic civilizations to Ronesans

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 comprehend why East Civilizations were more developed than the West-Civilizations. PO-1 Being knowledgeable about teaching programs, teaching strategies, methods and techniques, and measurement and evaluation.
PO-2 Have knowledge about evaluating limits accuracy, reliability and validity from nature of the source of information.
PO-6 Have cultural education compatible with social environment and educational level.
Examination
LO-2 know the contribution of Turks to Islamic civilization. PO-8 Ability to use most appropriate teaching strategies, methods and techniques considering students’ developmental characteristics, individual differences, characteristics and achievements of the subject area.

PO-14 Takes responsibility individual and group works and carries out the task effectively.
Examination
LO-3 know the effect of Christianity to west civilization in middle age and how church became a country. PO-4 Ability to explain aims, principles, vision, mission, structure and functioning of Turkish education system, classroom management approaches and concepts related to education.
PO-5 Being knowledgeable about students’ developmental and learning characteristics and also learning difficulties.
PO-6 Have cultural education compatible with social environment and educational level.

Course Contents
The arise of ?slamic religion, Arabian-?slamic countries (Four caliphs period, Emevies, Abbasies) , Turk-Islamic Countries (Idil Bulgarians, Karahans, Gaznes, Selcuks) , Islamic civilization (contribution of the culture of Arabian-Turks-Persia to Islamic civilization) , West civilization, the arise and spread of Christianity and effects of it on west world, history of Byzantine.
