Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to contribute student teachers to develop knowledge, comprehension and attitudes towards guiding services. The course also aims to help student teachers to comprehend the interaction between guiding services and teaching learning processes in schools.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 understand the place and importance of guiding and counseling services in schools. PO-1 Being knowledgeable about teaching programs, teaching strategies, methods and techniques, and measurement and evaluation.
PO-2 Have knowledge about evaluating limits accuracy, reliability and validity from nature of the source of information.
PO-3 To satisfy the needs of students ability to recognise concepts and relationship between concepts related to the field.

LO-2 get ideas about personal services for students in schools. PO-5 Being knowledgeable about students’ developmental and learning characteristics and also learning difficulties.
PO-6 Have cultural education compatible with social environment and educational level.

Course Contents
Basic concepts, student personality services, psychological counsel and place of guidance in these services, principles of counseling, development, psychological counseling and types of counseling, services, techniques, organization and personnel, new developments in the field, techniques of knowing student, guidance-teacher relationship, counseling duty for teacher.
