Objectives of the Course
Aim of the course is to teach basic techniques used in molecular biology and recombinant DNA methods with applications.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can perform basic recombinant DNA techniques. PO-7 Work effectively in multi-disciplinary research teams
PO-8 Develop an awareness of continuous learning in relation with modern technology
Examination
LO-2 can isolate and purify DNA and RNA have a view about PCR and perform PCR . PO-13 Obtain knowledge about current issues in the field of molecular biology and genetics
PO-14 Have knowledge about the main research interests of the molecular biology and genetics
PO-16 Explain the scientific findings clearly and efficiently both in written and verbal communications.
Examination
LO-3 can perform molecular clonning experiments. PO-5 Explain transmission of genetic background in organisms and populations

DNA and RNA isolation and determination of quality and quantity via spechtrophotometric analysis Isolation DNA, and agarose gel electrophoresis, PCR amplification of DNA, Restriction enzyme digestion of DNA, Purification of DNA from agarose gel, Molecular cloning, Transformation, Blue-white colony screening, Southern Blotting, cDNA library, Real time and gradient PCR analysis
