Objectives of the Course
To determine the historical course and the development line of Turkish; to inform the students about the periods ranging from Karakhanids to today

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 (Students) are able to watch the development line of Turkish. PO-3 Knowing language concept in every aspect, recognizing methods and disciplines (linguistics, grammar, philology) of the language, and can to examine Turkish language by contemporary linguistics data.
PO-5 Knowing chronologically and, with works, of history of Turkish language, and its periods from the first written documents to the emergence of contemporary Turkic dialects and to their present-day situation.
Examination
LO-2 (Students) are able to acquire general information about the periods ranging from Karakhanids to today and the works belong to these periods. PO-5 Knowing chronologically and, with works, of history of Turkish language, and its periods from the first written documents to the emergence of contemporary Turkic dialects and to their present-day situation.
PO-6 Can to read, explain, and examine linguistically texts which had been written in different alphabets (Gokturk, Uighur, Arabic et al.) in Historical Turkic dialects.
