Objectives of the Course | |||||
Provide the students with a general knowledge on basic concepts and principles of counseling and guidance, history, fields and branches of counseling and guidance, help them to understand counseling process, counseling theories, ethical and legal issues in counseling and guidance. |

Basic concepts, student personnel services and their importance in terms of counseling and guidance; historical development and principles of guidance; types of counseling and guidance, services, techniques, organization and staff, developments in the field, exploratory practice techniques, counselor-teacher cooperation, teachers’ duties regarding guidance. | ||
