Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to provide basic concepts related to personality, development of personality, adaptation and mental health, learning and comparing the characteristics of personality theories, and relating personality theories to field applications.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the concepts and principles related to personality. PO-2 Explains the knowledge about the theories, approaches and basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance.
Examination
LO-2 can explain the differences and similarities within personality theories. PO-2 Explains the knowledge about the theories, approaches and basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance.
PO-18 Follows the current information, sources, up-to-dates, conferences, seminars, workshops and activities. Plans and rules similar works accordingly.
Examination
LO-3 can explain the criteria of mental health by dividing normal from abnormal behavior according to different personality theories. PO-2 Explains the knowledge about the theories, approaches and basic concepts of psychological counseling and guidance.
PO-29 Gains awareness about normal and abnormal behaviors and the dynamics of the behaviors of indivuals.

Personality, mental health, harmony, normal and abnormal, personality sub-structures, personality factors affecting the development, psychoanalytic theories of personality, behavioral theories of personality development, personality development of cognitive theories.
