Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable the students to understand and adopt specific teaching methods for effective mathematics teaching.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 know basic concepts related to mathematics learning and teaching. PO-6 To be able to design and choose appropriate tools, instruments and materials for mathematics subjects and teaching process.
Examination
LO-2 apply general teaching methods and techniques to the subject of mathematics. PO-1 Having the knowledge of teaching programs, teaching strategies, measurement and assessment methods related to the field
Performance Project
LO-3 explain special teaching methods and techniques for mathematics PO-5 Being knowledgeable about students’ developmental and learning characteristics and also learning difficulties.

LO-4 make suggestions for teaching different subjects (numbers, fractions, geometry) in mathematics. PO-13 Being capable of using different evaluation and assessment techniques.
Examination
LO-5 examine the textbooks in the subject area with a critical perspective. PO-3 To satisfy the needs of students ability to recognise concepts and relationship between concepts related to the field.
Performance Project
LO-6 Explain the general objectives of mathematics curriculum and the skills required to be acquired PO-10 To be able to use mathematical language accurately in their mathematics courses and in planning learning and teaching process.

Course Contents
Basic concepts of the field and the relationship between these concepts and the field teaching, the legal basis of the field, especially the Constitution and National Education Basic Law, the general objectives of field teaching, the methods used, techniques, materials and materials. Examination of the relevant curriculum (purpose, achievement, theme, unit, activity, etc.). Course, teacher and student study book review and evaluation.
