Course Contents |
The course first seeks to provide understanding of ideational and historical processes that led to the evolution of European Union as a particular model for integration. Secondly, it inquires general policies of the institutions and common properties of the legal system operating in the EU. Thirdly, students will be encouraged to discuss common contemporary challenges to full EU integration, like “European Constitution,” “European Identity,” “European Culture,” “European Citizenship.” With these conceptual and civic discussions, the course offers intellectual assessment on political, economic and social implications of Turkey’s integration into the EU.
