Objectives of the Course
To teach about the foundation of human righs, its development, its meaning and importance.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can be aware of the historical background to the human rights doctrine and its current situation PO-2 To be able to discuss the political, social and economic causes and results of the transformations experienced in a society or a government.
PO-4 To be able to interpret and evaluate the current issues.
PO-5 To be able to establish effective communication, oral and written; at least one foreign language in general use at the level of the European language portfolio B1.
PO-6 To be able to identify their own learning needs and direct the learning.

Course Contents
The concept of human rights, the evolution of international human rights regime, fundamental documents and treaties assuring human rights and fundamental freedoms, the jurisdictional system, structure and operation of the European Court of Human Rights.
