Objectives of the Course
Chronologically presents the characteristics of Anatolian civilizations in Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic and middle Bronze age. Examines chronologically the emergence and technological developments in this period by evaluating the small chnages and developments in settlements, architectural remains and art crafts during these periods.

LO-1 Understands the concepts of culture and civilization PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
PO-4 Acquiring objective and consistent interpreting skill via comparing art and architecture products in different geographies.
Examination
LO-2 Recognize the cultures of Paleolithic, Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age (Urartu, Phrygian, Lydian) PO-5 Having ability on semtinizing and evaluating the effects of materials, manufacturing technique, designing, political, social, economical, and ideological factors on production and progress of art and arhictecture products.

LO-3 Have the terminological accumulation of these cultures. PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
PO-14 To be able to comprehend within a totality the historical environment in its broadest sense.

Course Contents
Chronologically the cultures of Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Chalcolithic, and early and Middle Bronze age will be analyzed according to their technologic developments, settlements, architectural and small findings. The relations between the neighbouring cultures are compared and contrasted. Differences between religious beliefs, economics and administrative organizations of those periods are examined within cause and effect relations.
