Objectives of the Course
To be able to comprehend the ornamentation institutions in Turkish and Islamic Architecture and handicrafts and make material and technical analysis.

LO-1 Classifications of Islamic Islamic ornamentation PO-1 Having theoretical and practical knowledges in Art History
PO-6 Acquiring the skill of obtaining and following up the technological progresses and scientific papers in the field of the History of Art.

LO-2 PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
PO-5 Having ability on semtinizing and evaluating the effects of materials, manufacturing technique, designing, political, social, economical, and ideological factors on production and progress of art and arhictecture products.

Course Contents
Portable works of art produced in Islamic countries until the 20th century Decorative arts, Production processes, It is discussed in the context of the effects of artists, employers, individuals and classes on artworks. In this scope, materials and techniques, motifs and compositions, style and iconographic approaches are discussed.
