Objectives of the Course
to explain the field researches that should be done in order to solve the pending questions about the survey period. Learning the planning and data collection methods for the solution of the problems, the methods to be applied in the excavations and surveys to be made in the settlements and structures of the Byzantine period will be recognized. Project preparation planning stages, tools to be used, data collection, documentation and evaluation methods to teach. Architectural plastic, liturgical stone artifacts, ceramics, mineral works such as cataloging and understanding of the periodic differences

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Discuss the problems that are discussed in Anatolia about the medieval archeology and which are waiting for the answer. PO-1 Having theoretical and practical knowledges in Art History
PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
Examination
LO-2 They will have an opinion about what field researches should be done to solve these problems. PO-5 Having ability on semtinizing and evaluating the effects of materials, manufacturing technique, designing, political, social, economical, and ideological factors on production and progress of art and arhictecture products.
PO-6 Acquiring the skill of obtaining and following up the technological progresses and scientific papers in the field of the History of Art.
