Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to introduce the artistic trends appeared in thr 17th and 18th cent. as a result of the shifting in the cultural epicenter of the Western world from Italy to the other European countries such as France and England.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can make sense of the Age of the Enlightment and its ideas throughout the works of art. PO-1 Having theoretical and practical knowledges in Art History
PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
PO-4 Acquiring objective and consistent interpreting skill via comparing art and architecture products in different geographies.
Examination
LO-2 Can interpret different workshops and schools of art of this period. PO-5 Having ability on semtinizing and evaluating the effects of materials, manufacturing technique, designing, political, social, economical, and ideological factors on production and progress of art and arhictecture products.
PO-14 To be able to comprehend within a totality the historical environment in its broadest sense.
PO-16 To be able to put forward the evolutions the civilizations came through within themselves and throughout the historical process and the influences they caused on these cultural assets.
Examination
LO-3 Learn about the foundations of the modern Eurpean Art. PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.

Introduction to the the ideals, cultural moves along with the Baroque and Rococo art risen during the period going from the european monarchies to the French revolution in 17th 18th cent.
