Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach the settlements established or developed during the Byzantineperiod.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Understands the subject of Byzantine city and recognizes the structure groups that are effective in the formation of Byzantine cities. PO-1 Having theoretical and practical knowledges in Art History
PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
Examination
LO-2 Recognize the civil structures, production and trade structures that enable the formation of the Byzantine city and gain the ability to recognize and evaluate the structures encountered in the field. PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
PO-5 Having ability on semtinizing and evaluating the effects of materials, manufacturing technique, designing, political, social, economical, and ideological factors on production and progress of art and arhictecture products.
Examination
LO-3 Have knowledge about the administration, spatial and social structure of the Byzantine city. PO-1 Having theoretical and practical knowledges in Art History
PO-5 Having ability on semtinizing and evaluating the effects of materials, manufacturing technique, designing, political, social, economical, and ideological factors on production and progress of art and arhictecture products.

LO-4 It can be determined which cities are divided into groups according to which purposes. PO-1 Having theoretical and practical knowledges in Art History
PO-2 Acquiring ability on data collection, analyzing, interpreting, discussing and proposing about the issues of the History of Art.
PO-6 Acquiring the skill of obtaining and following up the technological progresses and scientific papers in the field of the History of Art.

LO-5 learns the Byzantine cities with their ancient names and have a knowledge of Anatolia during Byzantine Empire PO-1 Having theoretical and practical knowledges in Art History
PO-4 Acquiring objective and consistent interpreting skill via comparing art and architecture products in different geographies.
