Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to teach the students the effects of exercise in different environmental conditions on different body systems, to assess the problems occurring during exercise, to provide understanding of exercise prescription and reflecting to basic practice.

Course Contents
Cardiovascular system and exercise, cardiovascular regulation and integration, evaluation of cardiovascular system and functional capacity, individual differences and measurement of energy capacity, energy expenditure in resting and physical activity, exercise testing, aerobic and anaerobic training, factors affecting maximal aerobic power, recovery from exercise, pulmonary system and exercise, control of breathing, acid-base balance, muscle physiology, neuromuscular system and exercise, nerve physiology, excitation ? inhibition, neural control, proprioception and kinaesthesia, measurement and enhancement of muscular strength, exercise and hormonal system, ergogenic aids, thermoregulation and exercise, underwater and high altitude physiology, body composition.
