Objectives of the Course

To learn the historical development and characteristics of Turkish and Islamic art, to recognize the richness of art created in the Turkish and Islamic world, especially architectural works.

Definition and types of art, Islamic art and its features, historical development of Islamic architecture, structures and features in Islamic architecture; mosques and masjids, educational buildings (medreses) and tombs, architectural decoration and other decorative arts.
