Objectives of the Course
The main objective of this course is to examine how the Sufism emerged in a certain period of time and in a certain geography.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Tell the definitions of Sufism and its subject, aim and peculiarities and define narrow and broad sense the basic concepts about sufism and its sources. In addition recall the definition of Sufism history and list the sources and the periods of Sufis PO-3 To have a satisfactory knowledge of the history, concepts, institutions, philosophy and main figures of Sufism.
Examination
LO-2 Explain the elements of the periods of Zuhd (asceticism) and sufism. PO-3 To have a satisfactory knowledge of the history, concepts, institutions, philosophy and main figures of Sufism.

LO-3 Interpret the Sufi concepts and practices and understanding which appear in Sufism period. And illustrate the Sufi biographies. PO-3 To have a satisfactory knowledge of the history, concepts, institutions, philosophy and main figures of Sufism.
