Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to introduce the student to the basic problems and methods of analysis of modern semiotics and linguistics, and to teach the student various facets and stages of textual meaning construction. |

Course Contents | ||
Presentation of modern semiotic discussions closely related with the philosophy of language; explanation of notions such as sign, expression, reference, symbolization, analogy and metaphor, and an analysis of the structure of processes of meaning construction/formation; detection of the position of semiotic problems in the works of historical and modern philosophers of language; determination of the elements of textual meaning construction/formation. | ||
