Objectives of the Course
.To provide students with information about the history and development of geography as a discipline; To teach the basic concepts and sub-branches of geography.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 They have information about the history and development of the discipline of geography. PO-1 Cografya biliminde kuramsal ve uygulamali bilgilere sahip olma
PO-3 Cografya bilimi kapsaminda mekani dogal ve beseri özellikleriyle tanima, mekanin kullanimindan kaynaklanan sorunlari tespit edebilme, çözüm önerisi sunabilme.

LO-2 They learn about the evolution of geography until its emergence as an academic discipline, and the different definitions and approaches of geography. PO-4 Insan-mekan etkilesiminin tespitinde yararlanilan baslica arastirma yontem ve tekniklerini kullanabilme, bu etkilesimin ifadesinde kullanilan gorsel araclari (tablo, grafik, harita) vb hazirlayabilme ve gerekli arac gerecleri yazilimlari kullabilme
PO-11 Cografi konulari, sistematik bir yaklasimla ele alma, arastirma ve sunma becerisi
Examination
LO-3 They comprehend the basic concepts of geography (place, space, region, scale, etc.) and their distinctive features according to other disciplines. PO-6 Disiplinler arasindaki çalismalarin önemini kavrama, bilgi ve becerilerini diger disiplinlerle paylasabilme ve ortak projelerde degerlendirebilme.
PO-8 Sahip oldugu bilgi ve becerileri laboratuvar ve arazi çalismalari ile bütünlestirebilme
