Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to explain the concept of set and some fundamental concepts, to show that set theory is the foundation of Mathematics, to create the ability of Mathematical idea and commend.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Understand the concept of set and its properties. Learn and can apply the fundamental proving techniques like induction. PO-1 Have the ability to conceptualize the events and facts related to the field of mathematics such as Analysis, Geometry and Algebra with the help of the scientific methods and techniques and can define these concepts.
PO-2 Have the knowledge to critize, analyze, and evaluate the correctness, reliability, and validity of mathematical data.
Examination
LO-2 Know the concept of relation and its properties, equivalence and order relations. Can find maximal and minimal elements of a partially ordered set. PO-1 Have the ability to conceptualize the events and facts related to the field of mathematics such as Analysis, Geometry and Algebra with the help of the scientific methods and techniques and can define these concepts.
PO-2 Have the knowledge to critize, analyze, and evaluate the correctness, reliability, and validity of mathematical data.
Examination
LO-3 Understand the concepts of cartesian product and function. PO-1 Have the ability to conceptualize the events and facts related to the field of mathematics such as Analysis, Geometry and Algebra with the help of the scientific methods and techniques and can define these concepts.
PO-2 Have the knowledge to critize, analyze, and evaluate the correctness, reliability, and validity of mathematical data.

The Concept of Set, Set Operations, Logical Axioms, Peano Axioms and Natural Numbers, Natural Numbers Arithmetic, Proving Techniques, Induction, Relations, Equivalence and Order Relations, Maximal and Minimal Elements, Order Types, Cartesian Product, Functions, Projection Mappings, Graphs.
