Objectives of the Course
To gain basic knowledge about cultural heritage management.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Has an interdisciplinary thinking and holistic approach in the field of cultural heritage management. PO-1 Develops and deepens the knowledge in the same or different field at the level of expertise based on the undergraduate level qualifications in the field.
PO-9 Leadership in solving problems related to the field; organizes personal, corporate and team work at the level of expertise.
PO-11 Supports the current developments and projects carried out in the field with quantitative and qualitative data and conveys them to groups outside and outside the field with appropriate communication tools.

Course Contents
In this course, national and international institutions and organizations related to cultural heritage, theoretical and methodological approaches that shape the concept and management of cultural heritage and social, cultural, economic and political factors; cultural policies and national and international legal regulations will be examined. In addition, the conservation, interpretation, promotion and management of the resources defined as cultural heritage, cultural heritage management forms; management plan preparation process and sustainability of the management plan; examples of cultural heritage management models and management of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and World Heritage sites; best practice examples will be examined in detail.
