Objectives of the Course
With the course of urban archeology, it is aimed to determine and investigate historical buildings and ruins in a residential area and to put the history of the city on the basis of concrete data. The ways in which archaeological remains should be maintained in a living city and the ways through which these remains will be presented to the society in a way to explain all the information they contain constitute one of the basic subjects of the urban archeology course.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can get information about urban archeology. PO-5 It integrates the knowledge gained in the field with the information from different disciplines, comments, solutions and creates new information.
PO-7 Carries out a study that requires expertise related to the field independently.
PO-13 Uses information and communication technologies in advanced level with computer software required by the field.

Course Contents
Within the framework of the science disciplines of archeology, archeology, explaining the concept of the city, the city will focus on the development of archeology in the world and in Turkey,i?n the ligth of the sample applications for the protection of historical continuity in multi-layer cities will be examined.
