Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to provide the students with the knowledge necessary to carry out basic and applied researches at advanced level in the field of microbial fermentation and to develop the problem solving and analytical thinking skills of the students. |

Course Contents | ||
The structure of enzymes, kinetics, inhibition, usage as a regulator, microbial nutrition and laboratory culture, oxidation-reduction, an example of fermentation: the mechanism of glycolysis, microbial growth, microbial growth cycle and measurement of microbial growth, factors influencing the growth of microorganisms, industrially important microorganisms, enzyme production by recombinant DNA techniques, fermentors, types and characteristics, production of pharmaceutical compounds and food through fermentation technology is the subject of this course. | ||
