Objectives of the Course
To analyze the relationship between the concept of humor and folklore and analyze how this concept emerged in Turkish folk narratives and Turkish folk theater.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Learns to interpret and interpret humorous elements in folk narratives and theater. PO-1 Graduates of master program with Turkish Folklore thesis have basic and general knowledge about field / discipline.
PO-7 They produce knowledge about society and use the information they produce in solving economic, social and technological problems.
Examination
LO-2 Comprehends all aspects of the joke type developed in the humor axis. PO-2 Students will learn the basic theories and applications of folklore.
PO-10 They can reach scientific results that can bring innovation to Turkish Folklore discipline through original academic studies.
PO-24 To be able to transfer scientific knowledge clearly and competently.
Examination
LO-3 Nasreddin Hodja, Bektashi, Gospel Sergeant, basic types of Turkish humor recognizes the prominent. PO-4 They will have knowledge about the approaches and methods developed in folk culture and will be able to prepare and apply lesson plans and activities appropriate to these methods.

LO-4 Establishes the relation of humor production in contemporary culture with tradition. PO-8 They will be able to analyze the basic elements of culture and to take an active role in the protection of the information channels that protect the identity of the society through their inferences.

The concept of humor, the theories of humor, the history of laughter, the relationship between humor and folklore, the types formed in the humor axis in Turkish oral narratives and the qualities of these types.
