Objectives of the Course | |||||
In this course, introduction to the field of Sociology of Aging and the basic theories of this field will be taught. It is aimed to recognize the psycho-social aspects of old age and to know social life in old age. It is also aimed to learn social work with the elderly, both individually and with the group. |

Course Contents | ||
Aging and society course includes the basic concepts of aging sociology and the main reasons of the aging of the population. In this course are discussed aging theories and aging policies. In this course, which deals with the social aspects of aging, is also explained successful aging and active aging. The issues of elderly discrimination and elder abuse are also covered by this course. | ||
