Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to teach the principles of nutrition, the functions of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, vitamins and water in the organism, their effects on physical performance, nutrition principles before, during and after the race, nutrition according to age, gender and disease status, weight control in sports.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Knows basic nutrition principles PO-1 Has basic knowledges of the theoretical and practical in the field of physical education and sports.
PO-7 In the field of physical education and sport can easily communicate with all internal and external stakeholders, knowledge and ideas, Turkish and at least one foreign language fluently and clearly refers to the written and oral.
PO-9 To bring innovation to its own area, a new idea, method, design and/or application development or a known idea, to apply method, design and/or implement on a different area, to investigate an original subject, to understand the design, adapt and apply.

Course Contents
Principles of nutrition, functions of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, vitamins and water in the organism, their effects on physical performance, nutrition principles before, during and after the race, nutrition according to age, gender and disease status, weight control in sports.
