Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable the private security officers who can serve as armed to acquire a weapon culture based on the importance of individual disarmament for the society and the state and equip them with the knowledge and skills related to the weapon within this culture. The aim of the course is to gain effective firing skills to the private security officer candidates and to reveal the conditions of the legality of the armed interventions that they can perform in compulsory situations.

LO-1 can comprehend the importance of individual disarmament for society and state PO-3 He/She provides security and protection services for persons, institutions and organizations on the basis of authority, duties and responsibilities on legal and institutional basis.
PO-4 He/She takes preventive and judicial security measures against the potential / actual risks for life and property safety during the presentation of security and protection services and, if necessary, initiates correct and effective interventions when necessary.

Basic concepts: gunless weapons, firearms, individual disarmament, weapon culture, self-defense, ballistics, weapon mechanics; individual disarmament: its importance for society and the state; aim and safety measures in weapon training; legal regulations on weapons; legislation that authorizes the private security officer to use weapons and the conditions for the use of authority; definition and classification of weapons; gun mechanics and working systems; firearms devices and working systems of firearms; cartridges; gun maintenance, gun cleaning and gun failures; mechanical marksmanship and basic shooting techniques; practical shooting trainings on the range; arms licenses; general rules of using weapons
