Objectives of the Course
The main focus is on the changing relationship between state, society, and the individual in a globalizing world. Topics to be covered include globalization, the state, nationalism, political identity, citizenship and democracy.

LO-1 Well knowledge on international actors. PO-11 To be able to abide by social, scientific, cultural, and ethical values regarding the collection, interpretation and propagation of data related to international relations.
PO-13 To be able to share their field thoughts with experts and non-experts on the responsibilities for the environment they live in and organize projects/activities accordingly.

Course Contents
In this course, what globalization is, how it is defined, globalization processes and the basic theories to explain this processes will be examined. The course also discusses the basic threats of globalization to the the nation-state and the reflections of this development to the international relations, the anti-globalization social movements, current issues in the international arena such as global terrorism and global inequalities.
